Digi-Key and Sanyo USA ink distribution agreement

Digi-Key Corporation and Sanyo Energy (USA) Corporation announced the signing of a distribution agreement. Sanyo Energy (USA) Corporation, part of the Sanyo Electric Group, utilizes its research and development resources as it strives to create and improve battery technology to provide rechargeable power for phones, computers, power tools and a wide variety of portable devices.

Digi-Key is stocking lithium, nickel-cadmium and nickel metal hydride batteries in a variety of sizes as well as battery packs made with Sanyo batteries. These products will be available directly from Digi-Key and will be featured in both its print and online catalogs.

Mark Larson, president and COO, Digi-Key, said, "We are very pleased to expand our battery offering with products from Sanyo Energy. Sanyo is recognized worldwide for both quality and reliability, and we consider this to be a great addition to Digi-Key's product offering."

Masami Murata, president, Sanyo Energy USA Corporation, stated, "The addition of Digi-Key to our distribution channel will enhance our exposure to the marketplace and facilitate getting our products to customers who require quick availability."

This new distribution agreement will enable Digi-Key to fulfill both the design and production quantity demands of its diverse customer base.
