Synthesis support for Xilinx Spartan-DSP series

Mentor Graphics’ suite of advanced synthesis products now supports the Spartan-DSP series from Xilinx, Inc. Precision Synthesis targets low-cost applications in wireless, video, and consumer applications. It forms the centerpiece of Mentor Graphics’ FPGA flow — said to be the industry's most comprehensive vendor-independent solution for FPGA design. With advanced support for ASIC prototyping (support for DesignWare libraries, SDC constraints, gated-clock handling, etc.) plus advanced implementation and optimization techniques such as automatic mapping and inferencing of dedicated DSP and RAM blocks, Precision Synthesis is suited to handle high-end FPGAs.
