A family of multichannel gamma buffers from Intersil, spanning four though 10 channels, eases your thin-film-transistor LCD drive circuitry design and reduces picture-degrading flicker. The four op amp devices, EL5524 through EL5824, include a single VCOM amplifier with rail-to-rail input and output, delivering 60MHz bandwidth and 90V/microsec slew rate.
Each gamma channel buffer has 12MHz bandwidth and 15V/microsec slew rate, and 30mA continuous drive current. The VCOM amplifier itself can deliver 60mA continuous current and 200mA peak current. Supply voltage is 4.5 to 16V, while package size ranges between 14 and 28 leads; price is between $1.46 and $1.90 each, in 10,000 orders.
