Irdeto Signs Amoi for Mobile Digital Rights Management Contract

Irdeto has marked its mobile expansion into mainland China with a major customer win. Amoi Electronics Co. Ltd (Amoi), the leading handset manufacturer in China, will integrate Irdeto's Open Mobile Alliance (OMA)-compliant Digital Rights Management (DRM) content security solution into Amoi's handsets.
The open-standard, interoperable solution enables Amoi to integrate one product across a variety of handset lines and operating systems for secure content distribution and access. The consumer adoption of rich media mobile phone applications, such as ringtones, MP3 players and streaming video is rapidly increasing.
