Automotive infotainment industry leader E-Lead Electronic has selected Raza Microelectronics, Inc.'s Alchemy Au1200 for its Noahpad, a Complex Central Control Unit integrating navigation, telecommunications, computer, internet and security for a variety of automotive manufacturers worldwide.
The Noahpad is a highly complex Auto Infotainment system joining the system controls for an automobile's stereo, air conditioning, navigation, security and DVD in one. The Complex Central Control Unit brings a highly sophisticated capability to the market that has been otherwise unavailable in most vehicles.
"E-Lead is pleased to work with RMI. The levels of integration for the Alchemy Au1200 processor match closely with the levels of integration that we are trying to achieve for our products," said Mark Su, vice president of marketing, E-Lead Electronic. "As we move forward, we know that RMI and its roadmap will continue to offer us the capability, functionality and performance necessary for us to extend our leadership."
The RMI Alchemy Au1200, the processor of choice for full-featured Personal Media Players (PMP), portable navigation, Auto Infotainment and mobile TV devices, is a highperformance, low-power processor capable of delivering a rich multi-media experience to end users. The powerful processor enables users to download media quickly and enjoy DVD-quality video efficiently delivered at full standard definition resolution, with several video format options. The Alchemy Au1200 processor gives system designers an easy-to-use, simple solution to create full-featured portable solutions with greatly reduced design cycle times. The System-on-a-Chip (SoC) architecture integrates most peripheral components resulting in a significant reduction in total bill of materials.
"We deem being chosen as the supplier for E-Lead's complex control system as testament to our success in the auto-infotainment markets and we look forward to extending our relationship with E-Lead in the future," said Mike Wodopian, vice president and general manager, Alchemy Solutions at RMI.
RMI's products push the edge of processor technology in performance and integration and are used by system and original equipment manufacturers to quickly respond to changing market needs. The company's XLR Processor, Alchemy Processor, and Orion Processor families are complex, highly-integrated designs incorporating hundreds of millions of transistors and built on leading-edge silicon process technologies.
