ZyXEL unveils P-660HWP Series 802.11g HomePlug AV ADSL2+ Gateway

ZyXEL Communications Corp., said to be the world's largest residential gateway provider (In-Stat, 2007), has announced its P-660HWP 802.11g HomePlug AV ADSL2+ Gateway for small offices and home users.

"The P-660HWP Series targets people who prefer high-speed network access and versatile Internet access device for easy deployment," said Danny Yap, Product Manager of ZyXEL Singapore. "This new product not only features up to 200Mbps high transmission data rate, but also responds to users' demand on network security and media bandwidth management."

Designed for high performance, it is compliant with 802.11g wireless standard. ZyXEL P-660HWP Series supports data transmission speeds of up to 54Mbps and with a speed up to 24Mbps (ADSL2+), it offers higher data transfer rates and more bandwidth than traditional ADSL gateways. The ZyXEL P-660HWP Series is also built-in with the latest HomePlug AV technology and delivers up to 200Mbps data rate via power line.

Based on Stateful Packet Inspection, Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Dos (DDoS) features, the series provide the first line of defense against hackers, network intruders and other harmful threats. Furthermore, the power line transmission is protected by 128-bit AES encryption to secure Internet access and network resource sharing.
