Emerson Network Power named 2007 Meritorious Performance Supplier by Sun Microsystems

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, was named Meritorious Performance Supplier for Power in Sun Microsystems' 2007 Supplier Awards program. The Supplier Awards recognize companies that make outstanding contributions to Sun's record of delivering superior technology, quality service and excellent value to its customers.
According to Nate Vince, President, Computing & Storage of Emerson Network Power, "We are delighted that Sun has chosen to honor us with this award. As a major OEM partner, Sun makes extensive use of our custom high efficiency AC/DC power supplies and embedded DC/DC power conversion products. Sun's implementation of an advanced global supply chain management solution, based on the Emerson Transaction HUB, gives Sun the flexibility to seamlessly handle increases in sales volume and reduce lead-time on multiple programs. The Best-in-Class Award evaluates the performance of all suppliers to Sun Microsystems that delivered a similar product or service and recognizes the highest performer in that area. This award also considers suppliers that demonstrated significant improvement over the course of Sun's fiscal year. The Meritorious Performance Award recognizes suppliers that have shown exemplary performance in any specific area.
