By Vinod Kataria

RF Monolithics Inc. (RFM) announced the appointment of WesTech Electronics Limited as the company’s authorized distributor in India.

Duane Covell, director of RFM worldwide distribution, said, “India has historically been a challenging market for RFM due to our lack of an India-based distribution partner. The addition of WesTech will immediately boost our coverage in the country to encompass all of the major markets with full design and customer service capabilities. We are already starting to see many opportunities in the M2M wireless arena, and have full confidence in WesTech’s ability to handle these opportunities, as well as uncover many more.”

WesTech operates both as a distributor and manufacturers’ representative of electronics components, test equipment for the disk drive industry, market leader for LCD-TV, acting as commission agents, provision of services, such as design-in engineering, system integration, computerized real-time inventory management and product design and development.

Jeffery Tan, WesTech Chairman and CEO, stated, “WesTech is pleased to represent RFM and Cirronet through our sales offices in India, and we look forward to providing availability of RFM and Cirronet products as well as engineering support services to customers utilizing their M2M-enabling technologies in their designs.”
