ImageWare Systems Inc., a developer of identity management solutions, announced that it has signed a two-year, non-exclusive distribution agreement with iBilt Technologies Ltd, a New Delhi based end-to-end IT solutions provider with primary focus on the government IT business.

Jim Miller, ImageWare’s chairman and CEO, said, “Our relationship with iBilt Technologies, which is part of the multi-billion dollar Thapar Group, provides access to a rapidly growing region. This agreement is a result of ImageWare’s continued effort to grow its distribution channel and target biometric identity management opportunities in India. We look forward to establishing a local sales and distribution presence and providing our biometric solutions to the government IT market. Our open-architected software based approach is attracting more and more partners who are requiring interoperable solutions that can be seamlessly integrated and efficiently deployed in a timely manner.”

Under the terms of the agreement, iBilt will distribute ImageWare’s biometric identity management solutions, including its award-winning IWS Biometric Engine and IWS Law Enforcement suite, to the rapidly expanding Public Safety market in India. iBilt is a registered vendor with Indian Defense Services, including Army, Navy, Air Force and other defense establishments, for providing IT products and services.
