Axiom Inc. expands India operations with a larger facility in Bangalore

Axiom Design Automation, a leading semiconductor design solutions company , announced expansion of its Indian operations with inauguration of a new facility in Bangalore. Axiom now has two R&D facilities in India, one in Mangalore set up last month making it the first semiconductor design company to do so.

The company announced investments in excess of US$3 million in India and that its headcount will exceed 150 by end 2008. The two facilities will enable Axiom to better support the rapidly evolving Indian market and tap into the world-class engineering talent available here. The Bangalore facility was inaugurated by Dr. Prabhu Goel, EDA expert & Founder of Verilog Language with Dasaratha R Gude, Vice President & Managing Director, AMD R&D Center-Hyderabad as the Guest of Honor. They were joined by Avtar Saini, Chairman, Axiom Inc. & ex-chief of Intel India and Badru Agarwala, President & CEO, Axiom Inc. besides key customers and partners.

"Axiom is focused on building a complete verification flow to customers and are expanding our portfolio constantly for performance, productivity and verification closure," said Badru Agarwala, President & CEO, Axiom Inc. adding, "Significant investments in R&D become a natural evolution as India continues to have a major impact in our overall business and the company heads to record a 100% growth this year."
