Samsung selects NXP as one of its 3G chipset suppliers

NXP Semiconductors, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips, has been selected by Samsung Electronics as one of its 3G solutions suppliers. NXP will provide the Nexperia Cellular System Solution 7210 to Samsung for a new generation UMTS/EDGE handset.
