Analog Devices opens Power Management Development Center in Shanghai

(Business News, 19 Mar 2008 )

Analog Devices, a global leader in high-performance, real-world signal processing that is defining the end-user experience in today’s electronic applications, has launched its Power Management Development Center in Shanghai to provide global power management engineering development resources and primarily drive the development of fixed power applications for the networking, infrastructure and industrial and instrumentation (I&I) markets. The Center is going to be staffed with full product development from design, layout, product and testing to sustaining engineering.

ADI’s Power Management Development Center comes close on the heels of other significant investments in research and development by the company in China. Earlier this year, ADI announced its funding of laboratories at several universities in China to conduct research on mixed signal and analog IC; low power, high efficiency mixed signal and power management IC design; and application designs, respectively. Like its collaboration with Chinese universities, the new Power Management Development Center is aimed at cultivating IC talents, equipping engineers with the knowledge and the skills needed to seize emerging opportunities in China.
