Intel India and I2IT to hold national level seminar in Pune: Parallelism - Impact of multi-core and latest trends

International Institute for Information Technology (I2IT) a leading Institute in IT set up by the Hope Foundation in association with Intel India is organizing the first of its kind National seminar on Parallelism- Impact of Multi-core and Latest Trends.

This seminar will be carried out in association with Intel and is scheduled from 23rd till 25th April 2008 at the premises of I2IT, Hinjewadi Pune. The Welcome Address will be given by Padmashree Vijay Bhatkar, Chief Mentor and Director – I2IT and the Chief Guest for the event would be Padma Bhushan Dr. F. C. Kohli.

The Keynote addresses will be delivered by:-· Mr. Narendra Bhandari, Director - Asia Pacific– Developer Relations Division of Software and Solutions Group at Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. · Mr. James Reinders, Chief Software Evangelist and Director of Intel Software Development Products, Intel Corporation USA will speak on “The Future: What Multi Core Means to the Developer Marketplace.”· Mr. Phil De La Zerda, Director of Worldwide Sales and Business Development, Intel Developer Product Division, Intel Corporation USA: will speak on “Winning with Parallelism.”The three day Seminar is focused for Directors, Deans, HoDs, Faculties of computer science, electronics and communication, information technology, electrical engineering departments, software developers and IT professionals, working in the field of software parallelization.

The Objectives of the Seminar are as under:-1.To address the paradigm shift in computing industry due to Multi Core architecture and its impact both on hardware and software.2.Create awareness and sensitize key stakeholders from government, industry and academia, on transition to Multi Core technologies.3.To address the challenges faced by Software developers for performance in Multi Core platforms. Lodging and boarding would be provided free of cost by I2IT at their premises.
