Bangalore: MindTree Ltd—provider of complete solutions in the ASIC and IC design services, assists customers designing ICs for communications and consumer applications—and the Power Forward Initiative (PFI), Si2-approved standard format for specifying power-saving techniques, announced that MindTree has joined the PFI and will be offering a common power format (CPF)-enabled low-power flow to its design services customers. With the addition of MindTree, the PFI continues to increase its momentum and now has 27 members. As a design services company, MindTree has adopted the Cadence Design Systems Inc low-power solution which is designed to increase productivity, manage design complexity, and shorten time to market.
S.N. Padmanabhan, senior vice president of R&D Services at MindTree, said, “Low-power design capability is extremely important to our customers. A large percentage of designs coming to us are targeted for communications and consumer products requiring require low-power implementations. CPF provides the mechanism for clear communication of low-power intent between the customer and MindTree; this helps us deliver high-quality low-power solutions to our customers.”
