Satyam Computer Services has announced that it痴 Automotive Embedded Engineering Practice has achieved the PATHFINDER Organizational Maturity Level 5. PATHFINDER is an assessment and certification scheme for process capability and organizational maturity. It is only the third company to achieve Level 5 certification.
The assessment was performed for Satyam痴 Automotive SPICE (Software Process Improvement Capability dEtermination) process assessment model. Satyam was evaluated on the specification, design, implementation and testing of embedded solutions developed by Satyam for automotive applications. The assessment was performed by a joint team from KPMG and Impronova. Automotive SPICE is an initiative to develop a common framework for the assessment of suppliers in the Automotive Industry. It has been launched by the Automotive Special Interest Group (SIG)預 joint special interest group of The SPICE User Group and The Procurement Forum together with major motor vehicle manufacturers such as Porsche, Daimler, VW, Audi, BMW, Volvo Car Corporation, Jaguar, LandRover, Ford of Europe and the Fiat Group of Companies. As a condition of contract, suppliers have to be assessed and achieve target capability levels against the Automotive SPICE process assessment model.
