24Vac or 12Vdc or PoE triple input power supply for security apps

( 01 Jul 2008 )

Aimed specifically at security equipment developers, Silver Telecom has launched the first triple input power supply module capable of accepting 24Vac or 12Vdc or PoE (IEEE802.3af).

For engineers designing IP Cameras, door entry systems or RFID readers, there are currently 3 ways of obtaining power – either 24Vac or 12Vdc or PoE. In the past this would have meant designers using 3 different power supplies, but the innovative Ag9312 module will accept all 3 of these inputs and then output a 12Vdc supply for use by the host equipment.

Packaged in a small footprint DIL module, Ag9312 is a low cost solution that can also convey significant design time savings, as well as savings in PCB real estate.
