Chip Scale Packages (CSPs) are now available for the AAT1149 and AAT1171 DC/DC converters affording significant space savings. The AAT1149 was originally introduced in a 2 x 2.1mm 8-pin SC70JW package. At 1.235 x 0.91mm, the CSP option reduces the required PCB footprint by 73%. Similarly, the AAT1171, originally introduced in a 3x3mm 12-pin TDFN package, is now available in a CSP which, at 1.5 x 2.2mm, reduces the required PCB footprint by 64%, when compared to the original package.
