Veraz, Belgacom Announce Completion of GSMA IPX Trial

New Delhi: Veraz Networks Incprovider of Multimedia Generation Network application, control, and bandwidth optimization productsand Belgacom International Carrier Services (Belgacom ICS), wholesale carriers worldwide and in mobile data transit services, announced that they have successfully completed testing the GSM Associations (GSMA) IP eXchange (IPX) service.
Patrick George, vice president, marketing & product management, Belgacom ICS, said, Belgacom ICS was pleased to work with Veraz Networks to demonstrate the capabilities of the GSMAs IPX. We believe that the IPX provides a clear path towards global interconnected IP networks that will better serve the needs of mobile operators.

Belgacom ICS expects to launch commercial services based on the GSMA IPX later this year.
Veraz Networks IPX solution includes the ControlSwitch converged TDM and IP softswitch, the Network-adaptive Border Controller family of security products and the I-Gate 4000 family of media gateways. The ControlSwitchs policy based routing engine and interworking of SS7, SIP-I and SIP protocols; the I-Gate 4000 media gateways enhanced media management capabilities; and simplified end-to-end operations support are key attributes of Verazs IPX solution. This combination provides an end-to-end platform for offering advanced IPX services.
