NEC Secures Real Asian Expansion With 500 Units for the Virtual PC Center

(Business News, 24 Jul 2008 )

NEC Corporation has reinforced the international sales of its thin client Virtual PC Center by generating new worldwide orders for the system in the first half of 2008, including 500 units from 10 Japanese companies based throughout Asia.

Regionally, companies across Asia are now being faced with a myriad of business challenges that include protective measures against threats to information as well as health concerns that threaten personnel. These conditions have drawn increasing attention towards the benefits of thin client systems, which concentrate assets in a central server. The server interacts with remote devices that are free from data and/or applications, which strengthens business continuity, increases efficiency, lowers the cost of system management and improves internal controls.

NEC痴 thin client system, the Virtual PC Center, is capable of converting conventional PCs into virtual machines that retain user friendliness and benefit from the reliability of a small number or integrated servers. The systems maximize IT resources and efficiency, in addition to earning high regard for domestic and international performance. The latest orders for NEC痴 Virtual PC Center will offer comprehensive capabilities, dependability and highly assessed field support for companies that operate throughout Asia, including Japanese corporations located in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, China and Taiwan.
