Vishay Intertechnology has received two prestigious awards from Arrow Electronics, Inc. Arrow presented the Partnership Award and the All-Star Award to Vishay at this years Electronic Distribution Show (EDS), held in May in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Vishay received the Partnership Award for going above and beyond what was needed to differentiate Arrow in the marketplace. According to Rich Reilly, Vishay's Senior Vice President, Sales, the Americas, "We are honored and thrilled to receive Arrow's Partnership Award and look forward to continued success this year. In order for Vishay to be successful, we need Arrow to be successful."
Arrow also presented the All-Star Award to Vishay at EDS 2008. John Blackerby, Vishay Distribution Strategic Account Manager, received the All-star Award for being the best corporate account representative servicing Arrow. Blackerby was described by Arrow as having the solid fundamentals needed to do the job the proper way and ensure that Arrow is well positioned within Vishay.
"We are pleased to recognize John Blackerby for his ongoing commitment to Arrow, his knowledge of the Arrow sales organization and his involvement with our corporate Supplier Services Group. It is a pleasure working with an individual of his caliber," said Mike Calabria, vice president of passive, electromechanical and connector marketing and product management in Arrow's North American Components business.
Vishay's receipt of the Partnership Award and All-Star Award from Arrow represents a continuation of the positive trend that began last year when Vishay received Arrow's 180 Turnaround Award.
