“World’s smallest” high-performance diplexer

(Technology News, 26 Aug 2008 )

Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has launched what’s said to be the world’s smallest and most cost-effective diplexer range--the RFS FD9R6004 wideband diplexer series. Its electrical performance and installation flexibility, coupled with its compact size, low weight and cost-effective design, enables feeder cable sharing between systems in the 806 to 960MHz and 1710 to 2200MHz ranges. It supports the increasing prevalence of multi-band networks across the globe.
Its wideband design allows it to accommodate the combining of a number of wireless communications services, such as Cellular 800MHz with PCS, GSM900 with GSM1800 or GSM900 with UMTS2100.

Rated to IP67, the FD9R6004 diplexer series weighs only 1.4kg and is only 0.43L in volume, making it a rugged, compact and lightweight diplexer. Ideal for outdoor use in any climatic conditions, it features in-line long-neck connectors for easy connection and waterproofing, while its compact and lightweight construction makes installation straightforward, especially in crowded tower-top environments.

The FD9R6004 series includes a wall- and pole-mounting bracket; it can also be easily upgraded to a dual unit.
