Ramtron Appoints Burnon to Expand Sales Channel for its F-RAM Products in China

(Business News, 26 Aug 2008 )

In a move to further increase market penetration in China, Ramtron International Corporation, a leading developer and supplier of nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memory (F-RAM) and integrated semiconductor products, has appointed Burnon International Ltd. to distribute its full range of products throughout China.

Ramtron has experienced dramatic sales growth in China over the last 7.5 years, and the country now represents more than two-thirds of the company’s sales in Asia Pacific. Overall, the region is Ramtron’s largest market by sales volume, and the appointment of Burnon is part of the company’s strategy to fulfill its sales growth expectations as well as meet customer-led demand. The success of F-RAM products is built on their combination of the nonvolatile data storage capability of ROM with the benefits of RAM, which include virtually unlimited endurance (approximately 1e14 write cycles), fast write speeds, and low power consumption.
