Flexibility and Manageability are the key words which customers pay attention as the set of criteria e.g. for the introduction RF signal transmission systems. On IBC 2008 DEV Systemtechnik will show on their Stand No. 1.D91 from 12 to 16 September what they have developed to meet the customers needs.
Complete control over the entire RF signal transmission path: SNMP ensures information transparency from antenna to receiver: Customers from DEV Systemtechnik will receive even more comprehensive information on the status of their signal feeding network. All controller-based signal transmission devices from DEV will from now be manageable via the communication protocol SNMP. Available data on the status of the RF signals is conveniently transmitted to the management and control (M&C) system of the customer. This ensures the greatest possible availability of RF signals in a signal feeding network.
Upgrade of DEV matrices at the touch of a button: Software activates crosspoints for RF switch matrices from DEV: For customers who need to upgrade their DEV Distributing Switching Matrix for RF signal distribution, DEV has developed an intelligent and inexpensive solution which makes the physical exchange of hardware or modules obsolete. A simple software upgrade allows for the functional extension of for instance a 32x16 to a 32x32 matrix of the DEV matrix without service interruption! This unique upgrade feature is available for all new DEV matrices ranging from 16x24 to 64x48.
Small and Powerful: RF mini matrix provides much availability of few signals in 1 RU: The new mini matrix allows for switching and distribution of up to 4 RF satellite signals. Housed in only one rack unit, the matrix offers maximum signal availability and fast switching speed for the L-Band (DEV 1996/4x4) and CATV-Band (DEV 1995/4x4) frequency ranges. Any of the 4 input signals can be switched and distributed to any of the four outputs. The convenient configuration, control and monitoring via a web interface make life for the operator a lot easier. The mini matrix can be integrated into a management and control system via SNMP without difficulties.
