ALGOR announced that Autodesk has named ALGOR finite element analysis (FEA) software as a 32- and 64-bit Certified Application for Autodesk Inventor 2009 software. The designation identifies high-quality, robust products that provide the highest level of interoperability with Autodesk Inventor software, the foundation of the Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping.
"ALGOR's ongoing participation in the Autodesk Inventor Certified Application program ensures our customers have access to a comprehensive CAD/CAE solution, which leverages the increased power of today’s computer hardware," said Anand V. Pujari, Certification Program Manager of Autodesk. "ALGOR's analysis and simulation solutions continue to provide Inventor users the ability to simulate their designs before they build anything."
"Our continued certification, now for Autodesk Inventor software on 32- and 64-bit systems, clearly demonstrates the joint dedication of our two companies to providing effective design and analysis solutions for the latest computer hardware," said ALGOR Product Manager Bob Williams. "We are pleased to be the first analysis and simulation software partner to be certified by Autodesk for 64-bit systems, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to being a leader in providing Autodesk Inventor software users with accurate, easy-to-use analysis and simulation tools so they can speed up time to market and make better, safer products at a lower cost."
ALGOR software features an easy-to-use single user interface, FEMPRO, which provides direct CAD/CAE data exchange and full associativity with most 3-D modeling software including Autodesk Inventor. This allows engineers to simply choose the analysis tools they need, giving them access to ALGOR's wide range of simulation capabilities including: static stress with linear and nonlinear material models; Mechanical Event Simulation (MES) for nonlinear, multi-body dynamics with large-scale motion, large deformation and large strain with body-to-body contact; linear dynamics; fatigue; CFD including steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow and mass transfer; electrostatics; full multiphysics; and piping.
