Intersil Announces Product Line Reorganization and Appointment of David Loftus as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Corporate Marketing

Intersil Corporation announced the completion of the company’s internal reorganization with the consolidation of five product lines into two product groups – Power Management and Analog Mixed Signal. In addition, the company announced the hiring of David Loftus as Intersil’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Corporate Marketing, effective September 10, 2008.

Under the reorganization, Peter Oaklander, the former Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, has transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President of the Power Management Group. The product lines now under Mr. Oaklander’s leadership are Consumer; Computing; Industrial, Communications, Automotive; and Specialty. The Vice President/General Managers of Intersil’s power businesses, Michael Althar, Davin Lee, and Paul Sferrazza, will report to Mr. Oaklander. Prior to his two-year role as Intersil’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Mr. Oaklander was in various leadership roles at Analog Devices.

Susan Hardman has been appointed Senior Vice President of the Analog Mixed Signal Group. Ms. Hardman has more than twenty years of experience in the semiconductor industry, previously serving as Intersil’s Vice President and General Manager of the Analog Mixed Signal product lines. Prior to her role as Vice President and General Manager of Analog Mixed Signal, Ms. Hardman served as Vice President and General Manager of Intersil’s Automotive and Specialty Products Group.

David Loftus joins Intersil and replaces Peter Oaklander as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Corporate Marketing. Prior to joining Intersil, Mr. Loftus was employed at Xilinx, Inc. where he had more than twenty years of experience in various executive leadership positions, including the role of Vice President and General Manager of the General Products Division. Mr. Loftus also served as Vice President/Managing Director of Xilinx Asia Pacific. In this position, he was responsible for direct sales, field applications, distribution and regional marketing. Mr. Loftus holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
