Power Integrations Mourns Passing of Board Member Scott Brown

Power Integrations has announced the passing of R. Scott Brown, a member of the company's board of directors since 1999. Mr. Brown died on Monday in Los Gatos, California.

Prior to joining the board of Power Integrations, Mr. Brown was vice president of worldwide sales at Xilinx, Inc., where he served from 1985 until his retirement in 1999. Earlier in his career he held a number of sales positions at National Semiconductor in the semiconductor and consumer products areas.

"We are saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague Scott Brown," said Balu Balakrishnan, president and CEO of Power Integrations. "In his nearly ten years on our board of directors, Scott was an ardent supporter of our company and its growth. He was a driving force in the success of Xilinx, where as an early member of the management team he built a powerful sales and distribution organization and helped make the company a leader in the semiconductor industry. Scott will be missed by his many friends at Power Integrations. We offer our deepest condolences to his wife, Michelle, son Eric, and to their families as they face this loss."
