SiGe Semiconductor has announced the appointment of Daniel K. Ko as Marketing Director, APAC. In his new role, Ko will be responsible for developing and implementing regional and product-specific strategies and tactical marketing plans to improve product positioning and to gain competitive market share in the fast-growth Asia Pacific region. He will also work closely with external partners, internal engineering and SiGe’s Customer Services and FAE teams to exploit the company’s capabilities in the wireless consumer electronics market segments in the region.
“Ko will play a leading role in the long-term direction of the corporation by helping to deliver ongoing innovation and value to customers in the world’s largest electronics market,” said Alistair Manley, Vice President, Marketing for SiGe Semiconductor. “As an industry veteran with a proven track record, he is tasked with cultivating and establishing mutual beneficial relationships with our key partners throughout the supply chain in this exciting market.”
Ko assumes the position of Marketing Director, APAC after more than 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry, including more than 16 years on the engineering side and more than six years in high-level product management. His extensive technical expertise covers RFIC/MMIC, digital CMOS/bipolar VLSI, design with extensive hands-on fabrication & testing experience.
