Micrel Names John Lee New Managing Director of Asia-Pacific

Micrel Inc. has appointed John Lee, Director of Marketing for Non-portable products for Micrel, as the new Managing Director for Asia-Pacific. In his new role, Lee will have responsibility for the company's revenues and sales efforts throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

"Asia-Pacific is Micrel's most vital region in terms of both growth potential and revenue," noted Chris Dingley, Vice President of Global Sales, Micrel. "John has a proven track record with both Micrel and in expanding business throughout Asia. His long term relationships with key customers and senior business acumen, along with a deep understanding of the Asia-Pac markets and infrastructure, should serve Micrel well in these challenging times. We are looking forward to John's contributions."

Lee, a native of Hong Kong, has more than 30 years experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries. He joined the company in 2006 as a product line director and since that time, he has been given the additional responsibility for two key product lines within the company's analog marketing group. Prior to joining Micrel, Lee was Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, for AudioCodes and Global IP Sound Inc. Before this, he held various management positions with Cirrus Logic Inc., Wireless Logic International and National Semiconductor Corp., among others.
