Renesas Technology Corp.’s Hersteller Initiative Software (HIS) Recommended Optimization AUTOSAR specification-compliant Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) supports Release 3.1 for its R32C/100 Series microcontroller. The MCAL supporting Release 3.1 for R32C/100 Series is used in combination with EB tresos AutoCore, an AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) of EB (Elektrobit), and every configuration is executed with EB tresos Studio, an ECU configuration tool.
Combinational usage of this MCAL, EB tresos AutoCore, and EB tresos Studio provides a scalable solution truly adaptable to OEM requirements. AUTOSAR is a standardized automotive software architecture, which aims to enhance software reusability with integrated or common software components. The HIS Recommended Optimization AUTOSAR specification, issued by HIS, an organization consisting of German automobile-makers, aims to implement an AUTOSAR-specification software even to a small CPU embedded in a simple electronic control unit (ECU) to reduce cost on hardware development.
