Elcoteq Bangalore Won the Excellent Award from MCQC

(Business News, 17 May 2010 )

Elcoteq Bangalore was conferred the Excellent Award by the Mysore Convention for Quality Circles (MCQC) on April 25, 2010 for its innovative approach and the fine examples of quality management. The award ceremony was held at The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. This has allowed Elcoteq Bangalore to enter the advanced level competition in July.

Two teams representing Elcoteq Bangalore have been evaluated by their presentation of the "Case study" and "Kaizen implementations" of quality management. The application of Lean tools in "Kaizen implementation" sets a very good example to enhance the competency of Elcoteq Bangalore.

This is the first time for Elcoteq Bangalore to participate in the competition. "Our representatives have expressed our team work and dedication to drive the continuous improvement activities in the plant," says Devang Khamar, Quality Manager, Elcoteq Bangalore.

Sukhvinder Kumar, General Manager, Elcoteq Bangalore, compliments all participating colleagues, and says: "This event is an excellent platform which enables our colleagues to demonstrate their competence and at the same time to learn the good practices of other players from various industries. I wish all the best to the teams for the next level competition."

QCFI is recognized as the institution representing The Quality Circle movement in India and has represented the country in several international forums.
