SWIFT DC/DC converter rated at 2.5A, 60V

Texas Instruments Inc.’s TPS54260 2.5A step-down SWIFT DC/DC converter supports input voltages up to 60V. The monolithic synchronous switcher features integrated high-side FET that provides up to 95 percent efficiency and low operating current to 12V, 24V and 48V point-of-load designs and GSM/GPRS modules used in electronic meters, fleet management and security systems.

The TPS54260’s current mode control enables fast transient response and simple external compensation. The device also enters into a low ripple pulse skip mode, reducing the no-load, regulated output supply current down to 138µA. When disabled, the converter draws only 1.3µA.
