Setting new benchmarks in surveillance technology

Smart Guard Systems (SGS), a subsidiary of eInfochips Ltd, is the first Indian IP surveillance company offering complete surveillance solutions and security systems. Identifying the need for a portable, lightweight and convenient product for connecting to IP surveillance cube cameras, Smart Guard Systems designed the innovative Smart Micro NVR, a compact and portable plug-n-play computer cum network video recorder with sleek unobtrusive looks. The product packs in 1.2GHz of processing power with 512MB of flash memory and an equal amount of DDR2 memory. Measuring 110x69.5x48.5mm, the Smart Micro NVR is bundled with a Gigabit Ethernet for networking purposes and an attached USB 2.0 socket, and is compatible with practically any embedded system.

The Smart Micro NVR can be connected to Smartguard’s Megapixel IP Cube camera, which delivers 1.3 megapixel video, dual codec streaming and advanced video motion detection. The Smart Micro NVR can be used at locations that require IP surveillance, such as banks and ATMs, monitoring of retail counters in shops/department stores and malls. It can also be utilized in the logistics segment—at warehouses and loading/unloading areas. It is also ideal for NAS application and home entertainment when used for home surveillance.

SGS’s Smart Surveillance Solution recently won the highly coveted Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA) “2010 Best Innovation Award”. GESIA is the premier ICT Trade body of Gujarat and the GESIA Awards recognize excellence in ICT in Gujarat.
