Altera Organises Technology Roadshow 2010 Series in Asia

(Business News, 12 Jul 2010 )

Altera Corp. is collaborating with its distributors to host free, technology-focused seminars across 16 cities in the Asia-Pacific region from August through November of 2010. The seminars will be held in the following countries: China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and India.

At these seminars, attendees will learn how to overcome today's high-end digital system design challenges and enhance system performance with Altera's product portfolio including Stratix V and IV FPGAs, Arria II GX FPGAs, Cyclone IV FPGAs, and the latest IPs and solutions.

The presentations and demonstrations will show attendees how Altera solutions accelerate video and image processing (VIP) designs with better performance and faster time to market. Attendees will also learn how to reap the performance, productivity, and cost benefits of FPGAs with real-life examples in applications such as: next generation wide dynamic range (WDR) surveillance cameras, Industrial Ethernet solutions, etc.

Topics include:
• Quickly master SDC (Synopsis Design Constraint) timing analysis
• Easily build designs using Altera’s video and image processing framework
• Introducing 28-nm Stratix V FPGAs: built for bandwidth
• PCI Express design with Altera’s transceivers
• High precision and efficiency—no compromise with the industry’s first variable-precision DSP architecture
• Enabling high system performance with Altera’s new memory controller IP
• Implement advanced image sensor pipelines (ISP) for WDR CMOS sensors with Altera FPGAs
• Flexible Industrial Ethernet solutions on single FPGA platform

In addition, attendees will see live demonstrations of a variety of innovative technologies from Altera and its industry partners such as Linear Technology, Tektronix, The MathWorks and others.
