Anritsu Co.'s MS2830A signal analyzer, MG3690C signal generator, and MS272xC Spectrum Master handheld spectrum analyzers have been named to the EDN Hot 100 Products by EDN, a leading electronics engineering media source. The three test instruments are part of a list that includes "products that in 2010 heated up the electronics world and grabbed the attention" of EDN editors and readers.
The Hot 100 products were selected over thousands of new product announcements received by EDN throughout 2010. They were determined to be the best in their respective categories because they were the most innovative, and were the most significant technology offerings of the past year, according to EDN editors.
"EDN has always been recognized as one of the most respected media sources in the electronics OEM marketplace. To be named one of the top products of 2010 by the editors and readers is a tribute to the engineering teams and innovative thought leaders at Anritsu. It is recognition that Anritsu has designed transcendent instruments that are helping develop the next generation of electronics products," said Frank Tiernan, President, Anritsu.
Three Instruments with 'Hot' Designs The MS2830A delivers best-in-class speed and accuracy over a frequency range of 9kHz to 3.6/6/13.5GHz in a cost-efficient design. Developed for integration and production environments, the signal analyzer allows manufacturers of 3G and 4G wireless devices and systems to increase production yield, reduce manufacturing costs, and have greater confidence in product performance.
The MG3690C series covers audio, HF, VHF, UHF, RF and microwave frequencies from 0.1Hz to 70GHz in single coaxial output and up to 325GHz or beyond, with external multipliers. It combines best-in-class phase noise and broad frequency generation so engineers can conduct highly accurate tests on subsystems.
Weighing less than 8lbs, the MS272xC series provides the broadest frequency range available in a handheld spectrum analyzer, thanks to the world's first 32GHz and 43GHz models. The MS272xC series is designed with an assortment of applications to test the RF physical layer, making it easier than ever for field technicians, monitoring agencies and engineers to monitor over-the-air signals, locate interferers, and detect hidden transmitters.
