SkyCross Names Dr. Bami Bastani to Board of Directors

SkyCross Inc. has appointed Bami Bastani, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. Dr. Bastani is the Chairman and CEO of B2 Global Consulting LLC, a management consulting firm focused on enabling corporate transformation. His expertise is in leading high-growth, multinational communications businesses.

From 1998 to 2008, Dr. Bastani was President and CEO of ANADIGICS Inc. Under his leadership, the company became a recognized innovator in semiconductor RF solutions for the wireless and broadband communications equipment markets. During a three-year period from 2005 to mid-2008, ANADIGICS reported 13 consecutive quarters of growth at 38 percent CAGR, delivering both positive cash flow and solid profitability. From 1996 to 1998, Dr. Bastani was Executive Vice President of Fujitsu Microelectronics, where he led the Systems LSI Group, including ASIC System-On-Chip, Local Area Networks, Spark processors, and RFICs—all key business units responsible for developing semiconductor products for the U.S. market. Previously he served for more than a decade at National Semiconductor where he held several key executive positions including Vice President and General Manager of the Embedded Technologies Division.

Dr. Bastani is also a director of Nitronex Corp. (RF semiconductors), CorMedix Inc. (pharmaceuticals), and VSSB Medical Nanotechnology Inc. (nano-sensors and wireless medical diagnostics). He serves on the advisory boards of Petra Solar Inc. (solar and smart grid technology) and SiTune Corp. (CMOS tuner products).
