LPKF Laser & Electronics AG, a manufacturer machines and laser systems used in electronics fabrication, medical technology, automotive sector, and the production of solar cells, is expanding its manufacturing space in Hanover, Germany.
"We were in the middle of planning a new building on our property when we received an offer to purchase the building next door. So of course we seized the opportunity. Now we just need to remodel and will be ready to move in this June," said Dr. Ingo Bretthauer, CEO at LKPF Laser & Electronics, in a statement. After two extremely positive business years, the corporate staff grew from 350 in 2009 to currently more than 470 employees – and LPKF continues to offer interesting jobs for qualified workers.
The neighboring building purchased in January is currently being renovated and connected with the company’s existing complex. This will give LPKF an additional 3,000sqm of space. LPKF will be combining the R&D departments there and will be using the freed up space in the old building for manufacturing laser systems. The investment amounts to about Eur5 million.
