TE and TI Garner Top Awards from RS Components

RS Components has awarded TE Connectivity (TE, former Tyco Electronics) and Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) with the RS Components Asia Pacific Supplier of the Year - 2010 Award and the RS Components Asia Pacific Product Line of the Year – 2010 Award, respectively. The two companies received their awards at the opening of the RS Components newly expanded warehouse in Shanghai.

TE earned the Supplier of the Year Award for achieving the highest sales revenue in the Asia Pacific region in 2010. RS Components offers over 500,000 products from over 2,500 brands and TE was the largest brand in terms of sales revenue for the year. TE doubled its inventory in 2010 to offering 17,000 product lines in the region, providing customers with a greater array of products that are stocked in RS Components warehouses and readily available in the region for immediate delivery. TE also demonstrated its commitment and close partnership in 2010 by offering over 4,800 certified 3D and 2D CAD models of TE connectors to the RS Components free and comprehensive online library of models of electromechanical components.

The other award winner, TI, garnered the Product Line of the Year – 2010 Award for having the fastest growing product line in 2010 in Asia Pacific. RS introduced 7000 product lines and doubled the sales of TI products in the last 12 months. TI provides a free of charge power design tool that is available on DesignSpark, an online portal created by RS Components for engineers that provides information and resources, design information, user generated reviews and new free-of-charge tools to speed up the design process.
