Digi-Key Corp. and RFIC manufacturer Peregrine Semiconductor have entered into a global distribution agreement involving Peregrine’s UltraCMOS RFIC products.
A number of Peregrine’s most popular RF ICs—RF swiches, digital step attenuators, PLL frequency synthesizers, mixers and prescalers—are now available for purchase on Digi-Key’s global websites and will be featured in online catalogs.
Peregrine Semiconductor is a fabless supplier of high-performance RFICs which leverage its proprietary UltraCMOS technology, enabling the design, manufacture, and integration of multiple RF, mixed-signal, and digital functions on a single chip. Peregrine’s products target a broad range of applications in the aerospace and defense, broadband, industrial, mobile wireless device, test and measurement equipment, and wireless infrastructure markets.
“We are excited to announce the addition of Peregrine’s innovative UltraCMOS silicon-on-sapphire (SOS) RFIC solutions to Digi-Key's vast product listing,” said Mark Zack, Digi-Key's Vice President of Semiconductor Product. “Our goal is to provide the best products from antenna in to data out and we believe Peregrine’s advanced technology will help us achieve that goal.”
“OEM engineering teams designing tomorrow’s wireless products are increasingly faced with complex RF integration challenges, and they need simple solutions, fast,” said Dale Robinette, Peregrine’s Director of Worldwide Sales. “Peregrine continues to drive its growth by accessing new customers in all parts the world; adding Digi-Key to our channel partner strategy broadens our reach to this audience, expands our sales support capability, and ultimately puts our product closer to the customer. We look forward to our combined strength in the marketplace.”
