Energy Micro has appointed Byoung-Ho Choi as its first Country Manager for South Korea. BH will head local sales and distribution activities for the company's growing family of ARM Cortex based energy friendly microcontrollers and RF transceivers.
BH brings more than 18 years experience of semiconductor device sales to Energy Micro, gained in a range of market segments including telecom and datacom infrastructure and industrial and consumer electronics. A former Sales Manager and Country Manager for South Korea, his previous employers include PMC-Sierra and WJ Communications.
"Energy Micro has already been successful in introducing its energy friendly microcontrollers into the South Korean marketplace, by focusing on very low power applications, including portable healthcare, energy metering, security and other battery-powered products," said BH. "I now look forward to helping accelerate this achievement in the country and establishing the EFM32 Gecko and EFR4 Draco as the first choice low power product architecture."
