Hall Effect Sensors Have 4mA-20mA Output

(Product News, 19 May 2011 )

The continuous shortage on Hall Effect sensors in the market is generating big troubles on the industrial field and, of course, also in PV and eolic inverters manufacturers. In line with this, Premo has successfully introduced a complete new family of Hall Effect sensors, the LEM DHR-C420 family, that features fixed output current in the range of 4mA to 20mA. Such TRUE RMS sensing is the most accurate way to measure power supply and it is also used to indicate how the motor and load are operating. The true rms function also enables measurement of pulse signals.

The series provides a linearity <0.5 percent with a ±1 percent accuracy levels. The bandwidth is up to 6kHz with a response time below 200ms. The offset drift versus temperature is as low as 0.5µA/şC and consumption of the circuit is only 30mA at no-current condition.

The current sensor is designed in order to meet the highest safety requirements and is fully isolated with plastic housing, meeting isolation values higher than 4kV AC. It is fully compliant with the following standards:
• Isolated plastic case recognized according to UL94-V0
• EN 60947-1:2004
• EN 60950-1:2001
• EN 50178:1998
