Magnum Semiconductor and Nu Horizons Enter Distribution Agreement

Nu Horizons Electronics, an Arrow Electronics company, has signed a distribution agreement with Magnum Semiconductor, a provider of broadcast infrastructure media processors. The agreement involves the distribution of Magnum’s complete line of encoders, transcoders, decoders, coprocessors and SoCs within Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.

Magnum’s application-specific high-speed integrated circuits along with their proprietary algorithms are optimized for the needs of the increasing challenges and complexity of managing the next generation of video and audio networks (i.e., ultra high-speed, ultra high-volume, “smart” format, multiresolution networks). Magnum products are currently being designed into the next generation products of many of the leading OEMs that provide video and audio management systems to the major video and audio network service operators around the world. Magnum products service the critical points in the network from production/contribution through distribution to the home to “place shifting” to mobile devices.
