Smart Card Connectors Ease Integration of Security Devices

C&K Components’ comprehensive range of smart card connectors provides PCI and PCI-ready security features as well as features a special design to ease the integration of security devices around and below the connector. The CCM01 and CCM02 Series devices feature a sealed, normally-open card detection switch and a card guide with a chamfered opening in the card entry slot to improve the card guidance.

Maximum card insertion force is 40N and contact force ranges from 0.20N to 0.5N. Minimum (EMV compatible) mechanical life for the eight-contact and PCI-ready CCM01 Series connector is 500,000 cycles. The eight-contact and PCI-ready CCM02 Series connector also features an anti-piracy system to provide a PCI variant and has a minimum mechanical life of 500,000 cycles.
