Palm-size, fanless embedded PC touts improved energy-efficiency

CONTEC Co. Ltd has introduced an embedded PC series, the BOX Computer BX300, which uses an Intel Atom processor Z530P and features a 35mm DIN-rail mountable, fanless design. The BOX Computer BX300 is a power-saving industrial embedded PC which boasts of energy-efficiency that is an improved version of the CPU-SB30 series that has the same chassis size. The BOX Computer BX300 supports Windows Embedded Standard, the OS for embedded equipment and systems.

This BOX Computer BX300 can be used as a programmable automation controller (PAC), and accommodates up to eight I/O modules (digital, analog, counter, motion control and serial/GPIB communication). It also comes with a chassis [ECH-PCI-CE-H4D] for use as an expansion board for desktop PCs.

Other features include standard interfaces, two 1000 BASE-T LAN ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232C serial ports, and two CF card and audio slots. The product can also be customized to suit user requirements.
