VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH has developed a new standard series of common mode chokes with nanocrystalline VITROPERM cores. In addition to low and medium frequencies, these chokes have an optimized performance in the high frequency range. Due to their broadband attenuation characteristic the chokes are particularly suitable for use in switched mode power supplies, solar converters, UPS or for frequency drives. The new standard series consists of single phase CMC for rated currents from 2 to 32A, and open, non-moulded 3-phase chokes for rated currents from 6 to 40A. The chokes are designed for operating voltages from 250 or 500V in compliance with the EN 50178 and EN 60950 safety-related standards. All chokes are manufactured according to the 2002/95/EC RoHS directives.
