Monolithic, 32-channel DACs feature offset and gain calibration

( 01 Nov 2005 )

Maxim Integrated Products’ MAX5762-MAX5765 (16-bit) and MAX5773/MAX5774/MAX5775 (14-bit) are precise and compact 32-channel DACs that integrate a programmable offset and gain calibration algorithm. This algorithm senses and corrects for offset and gain errors in accordance with the programmed levels. They reduce system cost and space requirements by eliminating the need for external offset and gain correction circuitry, output amplifiers, filters, or capacitors. Packaged in a 10 10mm 68-pin TQFN or 12 12mm 64-pin TQFN, the small footprint and excellent linearity make these devices well-suited for industrial applications, including automatic test equipment, fiber optics, and data acquisition.
