Current-sensing transformers offer lead-free construction
( 01 Nov 2003 )
Vishay Intertechnology has announced the release its LPE-3325-CST series of surface-mount, current-sensing transformers featuring five standard turns ratios from 30 to 125 in a lead (Pb)-free construction.
Designed to provide optimal performance at frequencies of 100kHz and greater, the new LPE-3325-CST is intended for switching power supplies, ac current detection, and output supplies for control circuitry in household appliances and medical and office equipment.
Available with turns ratios of 30, 40, 50, 70, and 125, the transformer released by Vishay Dale features secondary inductance ranging from 180 to 3000µH at 100kHz and 0.1V and a maximum secondary resistance range of 1.00 to 7.70˝. All five configurations are rated for 6A.
Each transformer measures 6.7338.20mm, with a 5.21mm height profile. Custom configurations are available on request. The new devices are specified for an operating temperature range of -40ˇ to +130ˇC and are compatible with surface-mount process temperatures.
Samples and production quantities of LPE-3325-CST current-sensing transformers are available now. Lead-time for production quantities is 8 to 10 weeks.
