The Fab Owners Association (FOA), the association of semiconductor manufacturing executives and suppliers, has announced that Freescale Semiconductor has joined the organization as a voting member.
L.T. Guttadauro, FOA executive director, said, "We are pleased to announce the addition of Freescale, Oakhill facility (Austin, TX) as our newest device-maker member. Freescale, along with our other device-maker members, benefits from innovative collaborative programs designed to increase semiconductor manufacturing efficiencies and save expenses corporate-wide."
